Here we’ve come again to one of the self-development posts of Lautures :). I must say since I am so used to writing these type of posts I feel really excited to get down to working on it and it feels completely natural haha. Let’s dive into the pool..
Shutting the doors, closing cycles, finishing chapters… whatever sounds better for you, is a big step in which life repeatedly challenges you to do and it only gets harder each time.
Bad things will always happen to you yet you cannot deny the fact that simultaneously good things happen to you as well.. sometimes even more than the amount of bad things. You cannot judge your life based on the things that upset you, disappoint you and hurt you only. Many times we find ourselves in the midst of the toughest times we can imagine to exist and we wonder “why me?” , “what did I do wrong? “, ” Why do I deserve this?” and so on… What we usually miss out is the fact that so much good happens around us that sometimes we don’t know to appreciate them at all, and take them completely for granted and ultimately get hurt or upset when such good disappears. The important point here is that letting go is a very vital thing we all must learn to do in life. True that certain things will always sort of remain there… those pain and wounds may seem like they will always be there and well.. it’s true they will. If for all the bad and tough situations you’ve had you were able to completely forget about their existence after they have happened, then wouldn’t life be too perfect? Wouldn’t it seem like a funny video game? That’s the point here, life is remarkable at what it does. Nobody gets to live an easy life, you may find certain people seemingly having a much easier and better life than you but what do you know about their personal issues and what they go through ?
Every person has their own story to write, and in order to write you will have to go through and experience many many things. After experiencing, you learn and let go. Sometimes the only thing that makes us weaker or stronger, is ourselves.
Shutting the doors doesn’t mean to ignore what happened, it means to realise that it is now apart of your existence and nothing can be changed.. you only become stronger if you allow yourself to.
“Stop turning on your emotional television to watch the same program over and over again, the one that shows how much you suffered from a certain loss : that is only poisoning you, nothing else.” – Paulo Coelho
Shutting the doors means opening new doors to new opportunities, feelings, people and more. Sometimes we may be so stuck in the past that we completely miss out the beauty of the present. Instead of struggling and drowning in the past, free yourself and allow yourself to get into the present and build the future you want.
” Closing Cycles Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because that no longer fits your life. Shut the door, change the record, clean the house, shake off the dust. Stop being who you were and change into who you are” – Paulo Coelho
Don’t let the past taunt you all your life… Don’t miss out all the good that you deserve to get… Start by Shutting the Doors TODAY.
